“Did you sleep well?” Ronon rumbled softly when he felt Mikaela stir against him.

“I’m exhausted,” she whispered against his skin. “I was tired before I flew to Sateda, I’ve been flying for three days and now you pounded me into the mattress all night.”

“We just mated,” he shrugged his shoulders. “After all these months of teasing me, making me go through hell, did you really expect me not to wake you when I was ready to take you again?”

“I guess not,” she laughed, her pussy gripping him within her, making his eyes roll up in his head. “I just wasn’t expecting four times I guess.” Her eyes snapped open when she felt him become rock hard inside of her; she rose up on to her forearms furrowing her brows. “Don’t even think about it. I won’t be able to walk for a week.”

“And you know I have no problem carrying you wherever you need to go,” he purred out as he rolled her beneath him. “What makes you think I’m letting you leave these quarters for the next week anyways?” he smirked down at her.

“You are incorrigible,” her tongue flicked out to taste his lips. “But I wouldn’t have you any other way,” she tickled his mouth with the tip before her tongue lapped at his tattoo. A smirk tugged at her mouth when she felt him growl low in his throat before he began to stroke his length in and out of her body. “I can smell me on your face,” she gasped when he hit that spot that only he had ever found inside her. “I feel like I’ve marked my territory. It is such a turn on,” she keened when he picked up his pace.

“I love the way you taste,” he growled as he slid his hands under her shoulders pulling her body on to his shaft on every inward thrust. “I’ll never get tired of eating you. I can’t believe no one has ever done that to you before.”

“My people are old,” she cried out when his pelvis slapped the cradle of her thighs. “Guess we needed you children to teach us something after all.”

“Be quiet, woman, or I’ll teach you another lesson you won’t forget for a long time,” he hissed at her when her body gloved him tightly within. “Damn, you are still so tight around me,” his eyes fell closed from the pressure. “I’m not hurting you am I?”

“Ronon, shut up and give me another orgasm,” she wrapped her legs around his narrow waist crossing them over his ass. His eyes held hers when he felt her pull him harder into her. “What are you doing?” she asked when he reached behind him to uncross her legs.

“Giving you an orgasm,” he grinned as he pulled his length out of her wet pussy, flipped her over on to her stomach, pulled her up on to her hands and knees and drove his cock back into her. “Just like the first time,” he growled, his eyes rolling up into his head while he pulled her back, his hands on her hips.

“Ronon!” Mikaela threw her head back, her hair falling over them like a curtain of night, when his hips slapped against her ass in a rapid rhythm. She straightened up, her back against his front, raising her arms over her head to clutch onto his shoulders. “Ronon!” she cried out when his hands covered her large breasts, his fingers pulling at her sensitive nipples.

Her head lulled back and forth with each upward stroke into her pussy. Ronon felt the tremors build within her and bit down on the side of her neck when she convulsed with her release. He growled against her skin, keeping the tanned flesh between his teeth when his seed flooded her hot core.

Their chests rose and fell together as they labored for breath. Ronon crossed his arms over her breasts, the air from his lungs rushing in and out of his nose. “You hungry, big boy?” he opened his eyes when he heard her voice clear the haze in his mind. He realized with a flush of embarrassment that he still had his teeth latched on to her neck. “I know you said you’d never get tired of eating me, Ronon, but I didn’t think you meant it literally,” she ran her fingers over the stinging mark before she felt him lap at it.

“Better?” he purred in between licks.

“Much,” she turned her face towards his, touching his tongue with hers before their mouths came together in a gentle, searching kiss.

“I suppose I should let us shower so we can go get some food,” he whispered against her lips in between kisses. “You need all the strength you can get to keep up with my appetite.”

“Funny,” she nuzzled her face into the side of his neck. “How about we bathe instead? I’d like you to take me in the tub.”

“Vixen,” he laughed against her hair, sliding his semi-erect shaft from her body. He felt her shiver before he swept her up in his arms and stepped off the bed. “I’ll be back inside of you before you know it,” he smiled down at her while he carried her into the bathroom.

“Holy crap,” John said in shock, his fork stopping before his gaping mouth when he spotted Ronon and Mikaela enter the Mess Hall. “Look,” he elbowed Lorne, pointing at them in line. “I think you were right.”

“About what?” Lorne asked curiously as he studied the couple.

“About Ronon not letting her out of her quarters before she agreed to mate him,” he pointed his fork, waving it towards them. “The armbands, I saw them on Dania and Pietro. I think it is the Ariana version of wedding rings.”

“If it is I’m going to be pissed,” Lorne frowned as he watched them move down the line, Ronon loading extra food on Mikaela’s tray.

“Why, Major?” Teyla asked with a grin.

“I thought there would be some kind of ceremony that we could attend,” he glanced at his friends around the table, all with grins on their faces. “Okay I admit it, I wanted to at least be her best man or give her away. We’re very close or at least I thought so.”

“Maybe this mating thing is a private thing amongst her people,” Rodney mumbled out between forkfuls of spaghetti.

“It stands to reason,” Radek chimed in while he studied the bands on their biceps. “It is a well known fact that mated couples of Ariana stay together forever and her people do not show their tender sides in public. Well Mikaela has crossed many cultural barriers since she’s been with us but a sacred thing like taking a life mate, I don’t think that would be shared with anyone outside of the couple.”

“Thank you for that long and tiresome breakdown of what I already said, Radek,” Rodney looked at him with a frustrated expression. “You can ask them now how it works,” he said quickly before he took a bite of his bread.

“Ask us what?” Ronon asked as he placed their trays on the table before he pulled her seat out for her.

“They want to know if you mated,” Rodney said simply as he waved his hand in an arc to indicate his friends.

“They do, huh?” Ronon lifted a brow as he settled into his chair. “Is that what you’ve been whispering about over here, Sheppard?” he held a straight face while his friend shifted uncomfortably under his gaze.

“Well Lorne was the one that said you’d keep her captive until she gave in,” John thumbed towards the coughing Major next to him. “And the two of you never left Mikaela’s quarters yesterday,” he threw in while he pounded on Lorne’s back to clear his air passage.

“You can’t keep anything to yourself, can you?” Lorne looked at John with furrowed brows.

“Not if it puts me on the spot, no,” he shook his head with a smirk. “So did you do the dirty deed?” he asked the couple before him. “And get mated too?”

“Its okay, my love,” Mikaela placed her hand over his to calm him down, his protective nature over her coming to bear. “I did claim Ronon as my mate yesterday and he accepted,” she traded smiles with him before the sounds of scraping chairs on the floor drew their attention.

“Congratulations, buddy,” John shook Ronon’s hand when he moved to their side of the table with the others. “I’m happy for you both,” he pulled Mikaela into a quick hug feeling a sense of balance when these two lonely warriors finally found what they had been missing for so long. “You’ve got a good man, Mikaela,” he whispered in her ear. “Take care of each other.”

“We will, John,” she smiled softly before Radek gave her a hug too followed by Teyla. They moved on to either hug or shake Ronon’s hand and her eyes settled on her quiet CO. “Evan?”

“He’s happy for you, Mikaela,” John glanced at his second in command when he didn’t move or say a word to her. “Aren’t you, Lorne?” John emphasized each word to draw the man out.

“Of course I’m happy for you,” he nodded his head, his hands fidgeting at his sides.

“What is it, Evan?” she asked softly when she stood before him staring at him with vulnerable eyes.

“My people get married in front of their family and friends,” he averted his gaze to the floor before she took his hands. “I consider you both and was hoping we could share the moment with you and Ronon.”

“That is very kind of you,” she whispered. “If my people did something like that I would be very disappointed if you weren’t there. However I don’t think you would all like to stand around while I fasten our armbands and watch Ronon claim me as his.”

“Oh!” Lorne blushed, getting flustered from the thought of her mating practices. “Yeah, I could see how that wouldn’t pass as a friends and family gathering.” He laughed freely, pulling her into a hug. “Congratulations, Miki.”

“Thank you, Evan,” she pulled back, patting his cheek before her vision swam in front of her eyes.

Lorne recognized the signs of her fainting spells having been with her for each of them. He wrapped his arms around her back holding her up when she sagged against him. “Mikaela?” he said in concern, cradling her in one arm while he patted her cheek lightly with his free hand. “Mikaela!”

Ronon turned quickly when he heard the urgency in Lorne’s voice, moving to take his mate in his arms. “Baby,” he cupped her face in his large palm, stroking her cheek with his thumb until her eyes fluttered open. “You okay?”

“Tired and hungry,” she said in weak tone. “Guess you wore me out more than I thought.”

“I so didn’t need that mental image during lunch,” Rodney made a face from his seat.

Ronon ignored his remark, sitting down in his chair and settling her on his lap. “I’ll feed you and get you back to bed,” he wrapped an arm around her midsection before he grabbed a spoon to scoop up some potatoes and offered it to her. “Eat, baby,” he encouraged her when she wouldn’t open her mouth.

“I think she’s turning green,” Rodney looked at her with narrowed eyes from across the table before they shot wide open. “Oh don’t do it! I get sick if I see someone else get sick.”

“I don’t have anything in my stomach to get sick on, Dr. McKay,” Mikaela mumbled miserably. “But I have lost my appeal for food.”

“Miki, what’s wrong with you?” Lorne asked from her side. “You’ve been off balance, tired, fainting, and now the sight of food makes you sick.”

“Mikaela,” Teyla’s gentle voice drifted to her from across the table, smiling at her when she met her sparkling eyes. “Are you with child?”

They all went quiet turning their full attention to the silent Mikaela. She stared at the table avoiding the question and their eyes until Ronon lifted her chin, turning her face towards his. “Are you carrying our child?” he asked on a whisper, tears gathering in his eyes even as he smiled. She nodded her head once. “How far along are you? Since our last time?”

“Yes,” she whispered with a tremor in her voice. “I’m over four months along.” She swallowed heavily glancing around at the smiling faces of her friends. “That is why I couldn’t go with John to search for you when you were taken. I told you females do not go into battle while they carry life within them. I wanted to but when Teyla said there would be Wraith waiting, I just couldn’t risk our child’s life,” her gaze ran up his chest to his face, “not even for you.”

“But you came to Sateda anyways,” he narrowed his eyes on her, a hint of anger in his voice.

“I planned the attack perfectly,” she defended her actions when she saw the dark look in his eyes. “We were never in any danger from the Wraith.”

“Flying that ship was a danger to you both!” Ronon snapped at her, his friends expecting a volatile argument between them but shocked into silence when Mikaela lowered her head. “I could’ve lost you and our child from the strain that thing puts on you!”

“I had to get you back,” she began to cry.

“You knew Sheppard and the others were coming for me,” he grabbed her shoulders turning her upper body towards him. “You didn’t have to risk your lives for me!”

“Ronon, ease up on her,” Lorne was getting upset with him for yelling and making her cry in front of them. “She only had your well being in mind.”

“Mind your own business, Major!”

“Hey buddy, calm down now,” John started to stand up before Ronon’s furious gaze snapped to him.

“Stay out of it, Sheppard!” Ronon turned his eyes back to his sobbing mate. He hated that he made her break down in public but his drive to protect his mate and child overwhelmed his good sense. “You went against the beliefs of your people, flew that ship across the galaxy, risked your lives, and flew back alone. Anything could’ve happened to you while you were out there!”

“Something did happen to me out there!” she screamed at him. “I ensured the survival of my mate, my heart! If you were lost, I would’ve died anyways so don’t lecture me on my people’s beliefs!” She broke his hold on her before she stormed away from the table with Ronon running to catch her. “Don’t you touch me,” she ground out when she felt his hands reach for her shoulders.

“Watch this,” John whispered to the others, a conspiratorial smile on his face. They all watched closely as Ronon took her shoulders gently in his hands and received an elbow in the face. “That was a good one,” John laughed quietly. “Oh that one was better,” he smirked when her fist swung down to catch him in the groin. John could barely contain his laughter before he saw Ronon lowering his head to whisper in her ear. “I’ve been watching him do this with her every time she threw a temper tantrum over the past few months. He talks to her real quiet-like until she calms down.” He grinned like a fool when they saw her anger bleed out of her before she turned in his arms, burrowing into his chest. “He’s getting really good at this.”

“He’s going to need it,” Rodney said with a smile until they all turned to look at him. “Come on. She was bad before. Can you imagine how she’ll be when the hormones kick in?”

“I believe the hormones are already a factor, McKay,” John squinted his eyes making a face at the scientist.

“Well we better hope he’s around whenever she goes off,” Rodney’s eyes widened, shaking his fork at John. “You might consider taking him off of active duty for the sake of the city.”

“Shut up, McKay,” Lorne laughed at the man before they quieted down when Ronon brought her back to the table. “You guys okay?”

“Yes, Evan, thank you,” she smiled at him from her seat before she turned to Rodney with an arched brow. “I promise I will refrain from leveling the city when Ronon is away on missions, Dr. McKay,” she grinned when the others laughed.

“Forgot about the hearing thing,” he pointed at his ear nervously.

“Commander?” Marcus’ voice came through the comm built into her arm cuff.

“Yes, Commander?” she addressed him by his rank since he was given his own ship.

“We have returned with the last of the Satedans.”

“Excellent,” she smiled. “How many did you get between all of the ships?”

“You will be pleased to hear that we found another five hundred and seventy-eight stragglers,” they could hear his smile through the comm. “Among them there were forty-two mating couples with thirty-six children and three on the way.”

Mikaela and Ronon rested their foreheads together, smiling over the news. “So that gives us a grand total of one thousand eighty-eight Satedans, eighty-three mating couples included in that figure and fifty-six children with three on the way,” John did the math and grinned at Teyla. “The mainland is gonna be cramped for space now.”

“No, it isn’t,” Mikaela raised her head turning towards him with a grin. “Do you feel like taking a little trip?” she cocked her head at John with a gleam in her eyes.

“Where to?” he asked suspiciously.

“It’s a surprise,” she shrugged her shoulders. “Marcus, prepare for a little journey. I’ll be joining you up there shortly.”

“Yes, Ma’am.”

“Shall we?” she asked the others as she got to her feet.

“Mikaela, you don’t plan on flying this thing?” Ronon asked when they walked down the pier to her ship.

“I have to, baby. The jumpers aren’t big enough and can’t get us to where we’re going,” she said casually as she opened the hatch.

“It is too much of a drain on you,” he argued as he followed her down the corridor.

“The nanites finished their work after I returned,” she walked into the bridge taking her chair. “The systems are all functioning now so it will be easier to pilot. Besides,” she turned towards her friends, “I adjusted some of the systems to allow manual operations.”

“Does that mean what I think it means?” John asked with a stunned look.

“Evan and the others were so helpful on the flight that I made the necessary adjustments to allow your people to operate most of the controls,” she laughed at the grin on John’s face. “Take a seat, Colonel, and get a feel for the Helm Controls. Evan, take Sensors and Navigations, everyone else just take any seat you want,” she focused on lifting off, flying them across the planet to the mainland.

“What are we doing?” Rodney asked from Environmental and Life Support.

“Picking up some cargo,” Mikaela said softly as she activated the transporters. “Okay, here we go,” she flew them through the atmosphere into space.

“That is a really cool sight,” John whispered as he looked at the ten ships on the view screen.

“Yes, it is,” Mikaela nodded her head before she opened a hyperspace window. “Commanders, prepare to receive the coordinates of our destination and follow me into hyperspace. Everyone keep up.”

“Yes, Ma’am,” ten voices almost spoke in unison through the comm.

“Here’s everyone,” Ronon turned from behind Mikaela’s chair to find Soren walking on to the bridge. “You could give us a little notice before you beam us off-world, Mikaela.”

“Sorry about that, Soren, but I’m in a hurry,” she took the ship into hyperspace before she glanced at him over her shoulder. “I did manage to get everyone and all of your possessions as well so cut me some slack.”

“Consider it cut, my lady,” he bowed his head making her blush. “Hey, Ronon,” he moved to his friend with a grin before he touched the band on his arm. “I guess congratulations are in order?”

“Thank you,” he shook his friend’s hand with a broad grin. “She claimed me yesterday and she is carrying our first.”

“That is happy news,” Soren hugged Ronon lifting the big man off his feet for a moment before he placed a hand on Mikaela’s shoulder. “You’ll be giving birth to the first of your kind in several millennia. This is also the first child to be born by mixing our lines. It marks a very special time for all of us.”

“Thank you, Soren,” Mikaela said with a tear in her eye. “John, do you want to take the Helm for a while?”

“Are you serious?” his head snapped towards her.

“This is your wish, is it not? You wanted ships and I am letting you learn on mine. In the following months, I will allow you to pick the rest of my crew that will train on the operations of this ship,” she continued despite the funny look on his face. “We, you and I, will run this ship together and share the flying. I can still operate and bypass every control on this ship but your people will have a chance. If all goes well, I will consider making one for Atlantis to use as its own when we take our leave.”

“Thank you,” he nodded his head at her.

“I’m going to be planet-side for a while, John, and after that busy with his spawn,” she tilted her head at her mate. “Now is as better time as any to build up the defenses of my home. Now fly this thing so I can go check on my people.”

“Mikaela?” John’s voice rang through the comm. “Is this thing on?”

“Yes, John, I left it open in case you needed me,” she laughed softly while Ronon escorted her towards the bridge.

“Cool. Lorne’s sensors say we are approaching our destination,” he turned when he heard them walk in behind him. “Was kind of hoping you’d be back to take us into normal space.”

“And so I am,” she hopped into her chair taking over the controls.

“Exiting into normal space in three, two, one,” Lorne counted out gripping his console when the ship exited hyperspace. “I’ll never get used to that,” he mumbled under his breath.

“Is that?” John narrowed his eyes on the view screen before he swiveled around to look at Ronon’s shocked face and Mikaela’s smiling one.

“Sateda,” she nodded her head with a gleam in her eye.

“Yes, it is, Marcus,” she answered him on an open channel to all her ships. “Settle into orbit and prepare to beam down. Set the autopilots on all ships. Everyone goes down to the planet’s surface even the Helm Control.”

“What is this?” Ronon asked her when she stood before him.

“Do you trust me?” she asked with curious eyes.

“With everything that I am,” he answered her honestly from the heart.

“Nice to hear,” she whispered before she waved over the rest of her friends. “Stand together, people. We’re going to be in a crowd in a matter of seconds.”

The Atlantis members beamed down to the surface along with the contingent of Satedans that they brought along. Every few seconds, another crew appeared until all eleven ships were empty and one thousand one hundred and forty-four Satedans stood on their home world. Fifty-six were seeing it for the first time.

The whole of the people around Mikaela went dead silent looking around in wonder. The streets were clear of debris. The buildings had been restored to their original state like they were just built. Green grass and trees adorned the hillsides and grew in landscaped areas of the city. Birds were flying in the clear blue skies.

The seventeen remaining Arianians wandered towards their Commander while they stared at the beauty that surrounded them. John and his people turned to look at Ronon; whose emotional eyes fell on his mate.

“How did you do this?” he asked in a strained voice. “Is this what took you so long to come home?”

She nodded her head looking around with a wistful smile. “I modified one of the torpedoes with nanites and fired it into the planet’s water supply,” she pointed at the lake in the distance. “All the rivers, lakes and creeks are populated with fish again. I landed my ship,” she glanced over their faces speaking loud enough for the hushed crowd to hear. “I brought down the necessary samples of DNA that this planet was originally seeded with and they grew once they infused with this soil.”

“There are game in the woods, vegetables in the fields and fruit on the trees,” she walked a circle looking over her people. “It took very little manipulation of my tech to clear the streets and rebuild every structure on this world. I did make some minor adjustments,” she grinned like a child and the crowd laughed at her embarrassment.

“I built a defense system around this planet. The shields that operate on our ships have been incorporated into this system to prevent anyone from beaming on to this world that does not carry our genetic markers. No Wraith ship can get close to your world without being blown from space the second they are detected. They cannot even get here on other ships because the scanners will detect their kind and respond accordingly,” she said with a stern tone and the crowd began to shout.

“I have restored the gate after the Wraith rendered it inactive. A shield prevents any non-Satedan or Arianian from entering,” the crowd cheered again. “The ten ships that you’ve all been serving on or traveling in will be yours along with their Commanders. No mating couples with children under the age of eighteen will be allowed to crew a ship. That includes any of my people that mates with a Satedan. Our lines must go on and this planet will make sure they do. This ground is a safe haven for us when we are here but we must help the rest of the galaxy that is not so fortunate.”

Mikaela lifted a hand towards her crew before she glanced around her at the excited faces. “My people chose this world to be your home thousands of years ago. It is where we wanted our children, the future of our race to grow,” her gaze fell on Ronon, a proud smile on his face. “When I saw this planet from space a few days ago, I decided then that no other world could replace this one as your home so I worked to restore it to its natural beauty so that I could return it to you.”

“This is Sateda and it will always belong to you,” she shouted to the crowd while she stared into her husband’s eyes. The eleven hundred strong around them yelled at the top of their lungs, most with tears in their eyes. “This was my last flight for a while, at least this far out,” she said in a normal voice so that her people could hear her. “I have mated with Ronon and carry his child,” her eyes ran over the faces of the crew that she led for thousands of years.

“Congratulations, Mikaela,” Marcus bowed his head before he shook Ronon’s hand. “Ronon, your child will marshal in a new beginning for us all.”

“Thank you,” he returned the handshake with a nod before the other men bowed their heads to Mikaela and shook his hand in turn.

Jenessa and Dania hugged their Commander and bowed their heads to Ronon.

“I have one more flight to make before I’m stuck in orbit or planet-side,” Mikaela told her crew in a hushed tone. “Ronon and I are staying on Atlantis,” she answered their unspoken question. “My ship, the Dex,” she glanced at her mate with a grin before she turned back to her people. “I retrofitted it to allow manual control. I’ll be training the Atlanteans on its operations.”

“When will you be back?” Darius asked as he stepped forward. “We will want to see the first of us when he or she is born.”

“We will visit often over the next few months and I plan on staying for a while after the child is born,” she turned her gaze to the sky when a large eagle-like bird flew overhead. “I want our child to know where he or she came from,” a tear fell unnoticed from her eye when she looked back at her kinsmen. “Of course, I will gate here immediately if Atlantis falls under attack,” she laughed as she placed a hand on her abdomen. “I won’t risk our future for anyone except him,” she grabbed Ronon’s hand.

“And I won’t let her do that either,” Ronon chuckled as he pulled her back into his chest. “She has been less than forthcoming about a lot of things but I know our child will be born with your abilities. I know any children you have with a Satedan will be born with your abilities. Nothing will happen to our future,” he placed his hands over hers on the small bump growing in her stomach. “We are a gate away if any of you need her,” his eyes fell on Dania. “She is your elder and has the strongest genetics amongst you. She’ll be available if anyone needs her enzyme.”

Nods were appearing randomly amongst the Arianians. “You are still our Commander and Elder,” Marcus stepped forward meeting her gaze. “We are always yours to command.”

“Then I command you to lead your crews as well as I led you and to protect this planet and its people first and foremost which has always been our way,” she glanced amongst the rest of them slowly. “But never forget that the rest of this galaxy is under our protection as well. Maybe between two fronts,” she smiled at John, “we can kick this bitch’s ass then we can all retire to Sateda. It has been too long since we had a home world too,” she turned back to her crew. “I don’t know about you but I want to come home,” she glanced over the hillside, a peaceful smile on her face as she welcomed the warm embrace of her mate.
